After upgrading to Office 2016 via my Office 365 subscription, the most important feature of OneNote is gone. I'm talking about the Send to OneNote Tool that is used to send other office documents to OneNote for editing. Tool for mac charger to stay in. I spent time with Microsoft support both online and by phone trying to see if it is an installation error or if the tool is truly not part of Office 2016. Nobody at Microsoft seems to even know what I am talking about. I upload PowerPoint presentations to OneNote daily and I need this tool in my life. There is 'OneNote tool' that appears in my icon tray that looks like the Send to OneNote tool, but it's functions have changed. It no longer uploads documents to OneNote, instead it creates quick notes and screen clippings, which is useless to me.
So my question is: Did Microsoft really get rid of the Send to OneNote tool in Office 2016? Also, I know I can still technically 'Print' to OneNote like before, but the formatting/editing when using this method is not the same. I appreciate any help at all. I was also missing the 'Send to OneNote' button in Outlook 2016. I was finally able to solve it, but it should not have taken so long to find the solution! I went to File>Options>Add-ins In my case the 'OneNote Notes about Outlook Items' was disabled So I just went to 'Manage COM Add-ins' in the same dialog box, and activated it.

Rather than solve the problem they just tell you no. On the powerpoint you can click file print then select the send to one note option from the available printers drop down option. This works but, once the slides are on OneNote it is not as smooth as it used to be previously.

In addition the space available for writing notes has reduced. This is really sanding that updating things means taking away things that work perfectly fine.
Two things: 1) make sure you go to the Add-ins dialogue box via File>Options>Add-ins and NOT thru the Add-ins button on the ribbon NOR through the Manage Add-ins Button under File>Info 2) I did this in PowerPoint 2016 and found the add-in. BUT I couldn't get it to work! Notice in the dialogue box is the path of the DLL. I assume with all this info somebody in product support can help to clarify how to get this to work! 3) there is actually two add-ins as you can see in the dialogue box. I was able to get to work one of them, 'OneNote Linked Notes Add-in', but not the other, that seems to be the subject of this thread.
